ensure the professional growth of its members and promote the benefits
of diabetes education. CanolaInfo has sponsored AADE webinars,
including "How to Cook Like a Pro in a Healthy Cooking Demo,"
which teaches the dos and don'ts of giving a successful cooking
demonstration and set a record for the most downloaded webinar in AADE
history. We also exhibit at AADE's annual trade show.
Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) is the world's largest
organization of food and nutrition professionals, which is committed to
improving the nation's health and advancing the profession of dietetics
through research, education and advocacy. CanolaInfo is proud to be an

organization supporting diabetes research, information, advocacy and
publication of comprehensive diabetes information in the U.S. In 2011,
CanolaInfo partnered with the ADA to publish "The Heart-Smart Diabetes Kitchen"
cookbook, which contains 151 recipes made with canola oil to help
consumers keep diabetes under control. In addition, CanolaInfo
co-produced with ADA a Spanish flipchart including healthy eating tips
and recipes.
American Heart Association
The American Heart Association's (AHA's) mission is simple: to help
build healthier lives free of heart disease and stroke. In an effort to
educate the public about "good" versus "bad" fats, CanolaInfo has
brought the AHA's "Better Fats Sisters" back to life as a sponsor of
the AHA's "Face the Fats" campaign. These memorable characters make it
easier for consumers to understand the differences among dietary fats
and how they impact heart health. Learn more about facing the fats on the AHA's website and finding
the Better Fats Sisters in canola oil.

effective health charities. Over the last 60 years we have invested more
than $1.3 billion in heart and stroke research, making us the largest
contributor in Canada after the federal government. In that time, the
death rate from heart disease and stroke has declined by more than 75
per cent.
Canadian Diabetes Association

with diabetes live healthy lives while we work to find a cure.
