Canola Oil on the Mind

Julie Upton, MS, RD and Katherine Brooking, MS, RD share what it takes to keep your brain in tip-top shape in articles on US News & World Report, Yahoo! and WebMD. The pair note that older individuals who heavily consumed saturated fat had more than twice the risk for developing Alzheimer’s disease as compared to those who ate lower amounts of saturated fats and recommend opting for foods high in unsaturated fat, like fatty fish, nuts and plant-based oils, including canola oil.  They note the low saturated fat content of canola oil, its neutral flavour and versatility.
