Trade Restrictions Lift

Vegetable oil-based dairy alternatives, including those containing canola oil, may now enter the Quebec market, reports The Globe and Mail. A government panel found that restrictions on the blended dairy products violates Canada’s Agreement on Internal Trade. The ruling means that these products will now be allowed on grocery shelves in Quebec as they are in the rest of Canada; however, Quebec is appealing the decision.
