AHA Expands Heart-Check Program in U.S.

The American Heart Association (AHA) has added a new liquid vegetable oils category to its Heart-Check Food Certification Program.

The American Heart Association (AHA) has added a new liquid vegetable oils category to its Heart-Check Food Certification Program. In order to be eligible for the program, foods must meet specific nutrition criteria for the category and must meet government regulatory requirements for making a heart disease health claim. The Heart-Check mark on product labels helps consumers identify heart-healthy foods in the grocery store.
