Foods Enriched with Unsaturated Fatty Acids Trendy

According to a new trend study, the global market for food products enriched with unsaturated fatty acids has grown rapidly since 2003 and the numbers keep going up. In 2007, almost 1,300 new products enhanced with omega-3, omega-6 or omega-9 fatty acids were introduced in Europe and North America. While the study did not focus on natural sources of omega-3s like canola oil, packaged foods containing canola oil may be able to tout heart health benefits.
