Healthy Eating Plate Debuts

The Harvard School of Public Health created its own Healthy Eating Plate, featuring healthy oils like canola in response to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s MyPlate graphic that debuted earlier this year. Harvard officials said their new model is based on the latest nutrition science and emphasizes the importance of consuming whole over refined grains, healthier proteins over red and processed meats, and beneficial fats, such as those found in canola oil.
