Eat Good Fats in Moderation

Dr. Anthony Komaroff of Harvard University notes that “good” fats – mono- and polyunsaturated – can help lower “bad” LDL cholesterol and prevent heart disease. Such good fats, including omega-3, are found in canola oil. Komaroff recommends eating at least one source of omega-3 fat every day. But be careful not to get too much of a good thing, he warns, noting that daily fat intake should be less than one-third of total calories.
