Canola Camp Enlightens Influential Foodies

Canola oil has always been a mainstay in food writer Rebecca Lang’s kitchen, but a July trip to Canada’s canola fields via CanolaInfo’s Canola Camp gave her a deeper appreciation for the oil. Lang was welcomed to Saskatoon by fields of bright yellow canola, where she met the farmers and processors that produce the oil that fills her skillet. “Like most crops, the journey that canola takes from planting to pressing to enhancing recipes is lined with those that have invested so much of their lives and energy into the process that creates an oil that can be found in kitchens all over the globe,” she said. “To have a glance into that world is nothing short of amazing.”
