Athletes Can Get Their Game on with Canola Oil

In order to keep their performance high and calorie intake adequate, athletes are encouraged to consume foods rich in healthy fat, noted a sports dietitian in USA Swimming. Chris Rosenbloom, Ph.D., R.D., of Georgia State University Athletics recommended canola oil as a great source of good fat as well as a substitute for those who don’t like the taste of olive oil. She noted canola’s Canadian roots and that canola oil is used in better-for-you margarines and mayonnaise.
