Canola oil is increasing in global demand: Jasmi Corporation, a major fast food company in Bahrain, announced that it has switched to canola oil to improve the quality of its food. “We use canola oil in our recipes because it is one of the healthiest oil choices,” the company stated. “It is a good source of monounsaturated fats, the kind that can help reduce ‘bad’ LDL cholesterol levels and lower your risk of heart disease. Moreover, we found that the use of canola oil renders a better taste to the food retaining the original flavor of Jasmi's' popular meals." The national restaurant chain is known for serving chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, fries and other fast food staples.
