Fat Quality in Diet is As Important as Fat Quantity

In a summary of an International Expert Meeting titled "Health Significance of Fat Quality in Diet," 40 nutrition, diet and health professionals from 25 countries determined that the quality of fat in a person’s diet is just as important as the quantity. They agree that swapping saturated and trans fats, like those found in butter and whole milk, for healthy fats like canola oil can significantly reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
