Canola Oil’s Omega-3 Fatty Acids Help Boost Health

According to an Associated Content article by Kristie Leong, M.D., using cooking oils that are higher in omega-3 fatty acids, such as canola oil, may improve health and lower the risk of heart disease. She also notes that recent studies of pregnant mice suggest that consuming canola oil may even lower their offsprings' risk of breast cancer. In addition, switching to canola oil is easy because its high smoke point is ideal for sautéing and other popular cooking methods.
