Celebrate Heart Health
In honour of Heart Month this February, Fox News discusses with a dietitian how to avoid trans and solid fats. The American Heart Association recommends choosing heart-healthy fats, such as canola oil, and limiting total fat intake to less than 25-35 percent of daily calories. Watch out for butter, partially hydrogenated margarine, shortening, non-dairy creamers as well as coconut, palm, cottonseed and palm-kernel oils.
