Eliminate the Mystery
Chef George Geary appeared on The CW’s “San Diego Living” this week to show off a collection of delicious peppermint recipes, including a peppermint mocha martini and a chocolate peppermint cake. When preparing the cake, Geary said to use canola oil instead of butter, since it makes the cake moister. Also, when it comes to choosing an oil, he uses canola oil because “you know what they use” to make it, unlike vegetable oil, which might be any number of oils.
