A variety of foods should be consumed every day to obtain important antioxidants, states a Prevention article. One of the suggested inclusions is heart-healthy canola oil, as it is rich in the antioxidant alpha-tocopherol, one of the eight forms of antioxidants in vitamin E. A national nutrition survey conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicated one-third of American women don’t consume enough alpha-tocopherol. Canola oil is an “easy fix,” Prevention notes. ”Use canola oil when baking or anytime you need a neutral-tasting oil.”
