Kick Out Saturated Fat

A Huffington Post Healthy Living article answers questions about nutrition fads and the reality behind each one. Regarding coconut oil, Krista Yoder Latortue, CEO of Family Foods, says, “Don’t be fooled!” Coconut oil is high in saturated fat, which the American Heart Association recommends limiting to lower the risk of heart disease. The article instead advises using an oil with healthy unsaturated fats such as canola oil.
