Cooking authentic Mexican food may seem overwhelming, but NBC Latino shares a recipe for pork tostadas that is delicious and accessible for the everyday cook. Canola oil has a starring role: the recipe calls for frying both the vegetable pureé and the tortillas in the oil. Frying the sauce in canola oil “helps turn a regular sauce into something thicker, richer, silkier and more complex." Olé!
